Country Barn Quilt Trail

Enjoy a scenic drive along quaint, rustic country roads through lush farmlands as you follow the Country Barn Quilt Trail of Western New York.

Touring Orleans County you will experience the beauty and abundance of our historic barns, rivers, orchards, farm stands, fine dinning, artistic offerings, wineries, and more as you make your way along the trail.
Our quilt trail was established in 2006, when local farmer Lora Partyka (Partyka Farms, Inc.) rallied members of her community in Kendall, NY to work hand-in-hand with her in the creation of a local quilt trail, following the example of other trails in states such as Ohio, Tennessee, Kentucky, and others.

Currently the Country Barn Quilt Trail has grown to include more than forty barns and other buildings adorned with hand-painted quilt squares throughout the farming communities of Orleans County, near the southern shores of radiant Lake Ontario.

The Village of Kendall continues to be the official center and starting point of the trail, where visitors can pick up free maps, available at the farm market at Partyka Farms and other nearby locations.
The Country Barn Quilt trail welcomes buses, provides Step-On Guides, Free Maps and Free Audio Tours.

Along the trail you will find numerous farm markets, antique shops, ice cream stands, summer time grills, fine restaurants, art offerings, gift shops, roadside wild flowers, and an abundance of beautiful views.

So, come on by and enjoy Orleans County ... we look forward to seeing you soon!
